Program Scope:

The Marines’ Memorial Club & Hotel is a historic hotel & theatre located in downtown San Francisco. The building was built in 1926 as the Western Women’s Club and purchased by the Marines’ Memorial Club in 1946. With such unique history, the private club & hotel continue to serve and commemorate the Veterans of all eras. Committed to honoring the legacy for future generations, the scope of work included cosmetic renovations of the rooftop bar & club, and 13 first class elegant and spacious suites while ensuring ADA compliance.

Program Role:

As part of her role as designer and project manager, Ivria gathered materials from SF Design Showrooms and chose the recommended interior design solutions, presenting to the clients for approval. Artwork and custom upholstery pieces, as well as all ordering requirements were also overseen. Pursuant to review by the SF Planning Dept., Ivria’s abilities as a successful permit expeditor resulted in achieving approval in a timely manner, and allowing the project to be completed ahead of schedule.

Upon project kick-off, Ivria evaluated contractor bids for approval, and oversaw sub-contractors throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the renovation schedule did not interfere with day to day operations of hotel staff and patrons. This successful partnership resulted in a strong business relationship between hotel and client resulting in multiple projects collaborations.
