Program Scope:
McDonald’s recognizes they are a household name, with over 13,000 fast food location in the US alone. With an ongoing commitment to ensure a seamless experience, McDonald’s incorporated new interior and exterior brand elements, ordering touch points, and a double drive-thru feature bringing the brand to a new era of fast food. The fast paced program included the approval and implementation of over 350 nation-wide COCO [corporate owned/corporate operated] and FOFO [franchise owned/franchise operated] locations within the 24 month program timeline.
Program Role:
Throughout the two year program Ivria was part of a multi-office Stantec team working on McDonald’s Canadian reimage roll-out program. Ivria was responsible for design development, permitting, construction documents, and construction administration for multiple concurrent projects in various US and Canadian jurisdictions. This was a fast-paced, demanding program for which the Stantec team completed more than 200 projects by the end of year 1.
On a day to day basis Ivria led a team of 5 internal CAD operators for the completion of construction documents based on individual site requirements that also included certified MEPs [Mechanical, Engineering and Plumbing drawings]. Responsible for tracking and responding to local jurisdictions throughout the building permit approval process. With a separate point of contact assigned for each FOFO location, Ivria managed ongoing communication, including billing and project schedules to meet aggressive project deadlines.
